Joshua Dirnberger

I’m a hapa haole, which means that I’m half white and half Japanese. I was born in Hawaii, where half of my family still lives. Every summer, I try to take a trip to see my cousins and friends in Hawaii; it is definitely the highlight of my year.

I’m a sophomore at Huntington University studying public relations, and have hopes of starting my own business in the future. When not in school, I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

I think I’m a pretty normal 22-year-old. I enjoy playing sports and video games, watching movies and cartoons, and of course, playing music. Music runs in my family. My dad is a worship pastor and my older brother helps lead worship at our home church.

Music is an expression. I love it because I gain pleasure from doing it; I’m so glad God has blessed me with this gift. Worshipping Him through music is something I feel I do well. Hopefully, I can help lead others in the greatest gift and task we can give back to God… worship.
